Steve's Word
Shake, strain, rocks, lowball
A Last Word with Scotch dominant rather than gin subservient.
- The Last Stand — Mezcal, Maraschino Liqueur, Herbal liqueur, Lime juice
- The Last Worm — Mezcal, Reposado Tequila, Herbal liqueur, Maraschino Liqueur, Lime juice, Pineapple syrup
- ZEF on Saturday — Irish whiskey, Maraschino Liqueur, Herbal liqueur, Lemon bitters, Lime juice
- Laphroaig Project — Islay Scotch, Maraschino Liqueur, Herbal liqueur, Peach bitters, Lemon juice, Lemon peel
Confirmed: bold and interesting. Very tasty, very successful. 4.5-5/5.
Made with Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength Edition a10 and a tiny bit heavy on it. It's robust but still light on its feet, an odd delivery system for such a tasty scotch but a good one.
This is the excact same drink as Phil Wards "Pete's Word" from 2008. It's featured in the Death&Co book.
Added better attribution, instructions, and clarified brand preference. Seems like a bold and interesting drink. It's on my suggested list now.
