  • I can't get enough of the Last Word riffs... I had to sub Don Q 151 for the white rum - not a fan of Wray & Nephew - too sweet.
  • Not bad but ventured a bit into Luden's-cough-drop territory. — ★★★

applejack commented on 5/29/2020:

Didn't have the Clear Creek kirsch on hand but a dusty bottle of Maraska kirsch I dug up from the back bottom shelf.  I quite liked this, didn't remind me of cherry cough drops at all.  Well balanced (perhaps a touch--and I do mean just a touch--sweet, might do an expressed lime swath next time) with a nice amount of overlapping funky fruit flavors.  Can definitely see the Daq # 4 connection.  Though with the Maraska, this does have the dubious distinction of probably being the only cocktail I can remember where every spirit had a plastic safe pour spout. ;-)

History

The Vietnamese will all be in a festive mood celebrating what the locals call TET, the lunar New Year and it wouldn't be a New Year celebration without traditional food. Most Vietnamese are not privy to drinking during meals, but local beer is always the exception. The idea is to pack a punch for this festival is to demonstrate the traditional that we use to gather together during these days for having fun and somehow Party Punch could be the iconic of the drink.
More than that it wasn't just a drink for me; it’s a symbol of love to my country, my family and the rest of all friends. Cheers,
