One Pommeau Before I Kill
Stir, strain, up, twist.
Pommeau de Normandie is an aperitif made of one part young Calvados to two parts apple must (juice), aged in oak. It is sweet and complex, with flavors of apple, butterscotch, and oak, similar in both concept and profile to grape brandy-based aperitifs like pineau and floc de Gascogne. Nice stuff.
- Fruites Douces aux Fines Herbes — Calvados, Dry vermouth, Cherry Liqueur, Apricot liqueur
- Eve's Temptation — Apple brandy, Sweet vermouth, Eau de vie of Douglas Fir, Averna, Lemon peel
- Mazel Tov Cocktail — Apple brandy, Red wine, Bitters, Honey syrup, Lemon peel
- Orchard Keeper — Calvados, Bianco Vermouth, Honey syrup
- Passenger Pigeon — Calvados, Sweet vermouth, Allspice Dram, Bitters
Joni,
Can you estimate how much a "splash" is? How spirit forward is this? Does the bourbon show in the drink?
Thanks,
Zachary
