Contrast with Rebannack on this site. Also note that Chris has a video showing it stirred with ice and strained into an ice-filled goblet, so it seems to serve both as a room temperature flask cocktail and a nice chilled sipper at the bar.

  • Its good, but the Absinthe seems a bit too strong and contrasts with the grapefruit and campari bittnerness.

Very nice, Scott, and I love the name. I used Obsello absinthe.

The Absinthe is a Dave Chappelle uppercut in this drink....and I like absinthe

Final version. This is the one done for MxMo as this month it's Tiki's. Also slightly updated the Castaway for it as well.

Zachary Pearson commented on 2/10/2012:

Curated slightly to change grapefruit juice with a note of Izze Grapefruit soda into Grapefruit Soda, Izze, which reflects the cited blog post.

Got gifted a bottle of Limoncello so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's nicely balanced and I liked the addition of the chocolate bitters, but I'm just not a limoncello fan; if you are you'd probably love this.

Just tried this. Was tasty but reminded me vaguely of a tootsie roll!

justinwarner commented on 10/27/2018:

I second the tootsie roll comment. It's a pretty decent drink though.

  • Superb. Tastes a bit like an Aviation.
  • Had low expectations (Drambuie and kirschwasser sometimes leave me cold) but this was pretty good. Quite sweet.

Made with Torres 10 and a bit more than 1/4 of homemade white creme de cacao. I like, but would maybe add the smallest splash of syrup. My liqueur might not be as sweet as store bought
