O'Hana

1 1⁄2 oz Vodka
1⁄2 oz Orgeat
1⁄2 oz Lemon juice
1⁄4 oz Passion fruit syrup
1⁄4 oz Orange juice
Instructions

Build all ingredients in shaker tin, add ice, shake vigorously. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Quite nice and an intelligent combination. 4.5/5, but I'm going to bump it to 5 because I enjoyed it that much and it is different. Has substantial pine/spruce bitterness, but this marries well with the sweetness of the Cocchi and the less aggressive bourbon (as compared to the pepperiness of a rye which would likely be too much when paired with the others.)

Started a fews days ago with a classic daiquiri with one drop of chatreuse.
Then with mint.
Recently wanted to combine the different variations.

I love this combination of flavors, especially with the Hendrick's Gin. Reduce the ginger beer to 5 oz (one can of Fever Tree) and that improves the balance so that the absinthe and the Suze come through more prominently. Potentially still too sweet even with that adjustment, but very tasty.

Edit: Made this with Bundaberg over Fever Tree and it was substantially better. The Fever Tree is more acidic and has more ginger bite which detracts from the other flavors.


Peppery

1⁄2 oz Calvados
1⁄3 oz Lime juice
1⁄2 oz PInk grapefruit juice
3⁄4 oz Simple syrup, Spiced
1⁄2 oz Pink Peppercorn
3⁄4 oz Egg white
Instructions

Muddle Pink pepper berries, shake with ice, strain, in coupe.
Garnish with a dried grapefuit slice floating on foam with a twist of Pink pepper on top.

Notes

The syrup is flavored with Cinamon, clove and vanilla. Muddled cinamon and cloves can be subbed for spiced syrup....
