Godfather No. II
Stir in a double rocks glass over a large ice cube. Express orange peel and discard. Garnish with the cherry.
- Vital Signs — Cognac VSOP, Blended Scotch, Sweet vermouth, Coffee liqueur, Bigallet China-China, Absinthe, Lemon peel
- Stone of Destiny — Blended Scotch, Sweet vermouth, Apricot liqueur, Ginger syrup, Orange peel
- Fin de la guerra — Armagnac, Palo Cortado Sherry, Crème de Noyaux, Celery bitters, Honey syrup
- The MacGregor — Blended Scotch, Sweet vermouth, Apricot liqueur, Bitters
- Southern Exposure — Bourbon, Sweet vermouth, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters
This is pretty impressive and makes the Godfather a much more interesting, complex cocktail. The sherry adds a nutty note without all the sweetness of the amaretto and the maraschino adds some lightness.
