I was going to give this a shot, but I wanted to confirm it's lime juice in the build and a lemon garnish?  That's a bit unusual (no pun intended).  And does "Mezcal (Verde)" refer to the Mezcal Verde Momento brand (mad props for their label game)?

Zachary Pearson commented on 8/28/2020:

If I had to guess, it means green like "green cowhand" - unaged. Thanks,  Zachary

Pangolindo commented on 8/29/2020:

Yes, it's verde/Momento mezcal. Not too smoky...

I've tried both, even without peel. Just a preference.

You should try first a sip without.

Pangolindo commented on 9/01/2020:

I've just edited the recipe, ratio for rye was 1/5 but it's not.

Just modified to 1/3 but i do not remember right now the exact ratio.

Seems too short for the amount of liqueurs.

I am going to check...

Long List Split

1 1⁄2 oz Gin, Tanqueray
3⁄4 oz Mezcal (Verde)
1⁄4 oz Galliano
1⁄4 oz Suze
1⁄4 oz Pine liqueur (Quaglia)
1⁄4 oz Herbal liqueur (Homemade - see note)
Instructions

Stir with ice, strain in rock glass with a big ice cube. Serve.

Notes

Short on the 1/4....

Homemade herbal liqueur comes from imbibe. Recipe at https://imbibemagazine.com/recipe/diy-herbal-liqueur/

Did not have fresh oregano.
I Added to steep after bottling, fennel seeds, cardamom pods, cinamon a long time.
Very fresh at the begining, turns out to be more herbal/amaro kind at last without bitterness.

I think, averna mixed with yellow chartreuse+ cinamon steep or grated or syrup (a pinch) would work.

mako commented on 8/26/2020:

Not to be confused with the "Autumn's Daiquiri" which is similar in name and concept. The Eclipse rum adds a funky apple note but the other drink just adds apple cider (a lot!). This one is definitely more true to the basic daiquiri template of booze + lime + sugar.

I've made this by using a mild spiced rum and subbed a smidge of rum for apple brandy. Not the same but definitely in the spirit of the drink.

William C commented on 11/12/2024:

Per the D&C book, this is supposed to have 1/2 oz. pineapple juice as well.

Curated to add the missing pineapple juice.

Nice sipper! Had to modify based on what I had in the bar. Used High Wire Distilling's Southern Amaro which is a little drier and higher abv than the Montenegro, so I added 1/8oz of a black tea simple syrup I had. Also used a homemade creme de banana.
