Red Hook Burning
Stir, strain, up.

- Reminiscent of the Campari "Martini" but with more complexity. Agree with the comment that the maraschino gets lost, though more might make it too sweet.
- Lovely variation. I'd go even easier on the Islay and maybe go up a touch on the Maraschino lest it get lost.
- The Bitter Venetian — Amaro Nonino, Dry vermouth, Orange liqueur, Orange bitters, Bitters
- Amaroland — Sweet vermouth, Amaro Lucano, Amaro, Fernet Branca, Orange bitters
- Eeyore's Requiem — Campari, Bianco Vermouth, Gin, Cynar, Fernet Branca, Orange bitters, Orange peel
- Tres Sangres — Sweet vermouth, Bitters, Orange bitters, Peychaud's Bitters, Mezcal, Rich demerara syrup 2:1, Lemon peel, Orange peel
- Milano-Torino — Campari, Sweet vermouth
I'm guessing housemade blood orange bitters, or some other brand, because Stirring's is very mild. You would hardly notice 9 drops, I thinks. This does sound great.
My wife’s favorite drink, ever. Made this for her literally hundreds if not thousands
of times. Upped the Laphroaig to 1/2 oz and swapped 1/2 oz of the Campari for Aperol. Used 2 dashes orange bitters (50/50 Fee bros and Regan’s orange). Add orange twist. Counterintuitively, more maraschino makes it too bitter. The extra Laphroaig smooths out in the mix.
